This is another example of a split-level deck. It's constructed with cedar decking and railing and black aluminum balusters. The pictures here show the deck after it has been stained
The upper level deck is used for a dining area. Because the customer was content with a small table and chairs for dining, they saved space (and money) by limiting the dining area to 10' wide.
This is another cedar project with black aluminum balusters. Substituting black aluminum balusters for cedar balusters means a slightly better view of the surroundings, as well as less maintenance needed. Metal balusters is frequently used with many types of wood railing.
These pictures represent several pressure-treated deck projects, all constructed by Stump's. While low-maintenance decking has rapidly become popular, pressure-treated wood is still a viable option for many customers. Besides being less-expensive, wood has a beauty that can't be duplicated by synthetic boards. We also have a much better idea how wood performs over time, given the fact that most synthetic boards have been around less than ten years.
