Stump’s Quality Decks & Porches began in 1994, with one deck crew, primarily subcontracting decks through a local material supplier that sold polylumber decking, which was then one of the few low-maintenance decking materials on the market. 

Seventeen years later, Stump's Quality Decks & Porches works with 4 deck crews, building approximately 400 projects a year over a seven county area.  Yet while the company has grown, it’s still managed as a Lancaster County family-based business, owned by our four foremen.

At Stump's Quality Decks & Porches our projects come in a wide variety of sizes and materials.  We work with small-to-mid-size basic plans, such as 10’x 20’, 12’x 16’, etc., and also build larger, more complex projects with multiple-levels and add-ons such as roofs, pergolas, benches, hidden fasteners, etc.    No matter what the size and scope of the project, our mission is the same:  to provide exceptionally built and reasonably priced decks for our customers, using top-grade wood and low-maintenance materials, while at the same time providing prompt and courteous service at every phase of the project, from the initial sales call to the final inspection and beyond.
